Proxysmart - Multishop version
Useful for those who want to sell proxies to multiple proxy shops.
Multishop System Update
We’re currently developing a multishop system to improve how proxy servers are shared and managed across different sellers.
What’s the issue with the current setup?
When a modem is locked by one proxy shop, it becomes unavailable to others—even if it’s not in active use.
When shops are granted access to the server, they receive full admin-level permissions, which allows them to see and interact with modems and proxies belonging to other shops. This poses both security and operational concerns.
How does the Multishop system help?
The Multishop system allows a single server to be safely and efficiently rented out to multiple proxy shops. Each shop can sell proxies independently, with access and visibility restricted to their own resources. Key improvements include:
Controlled access: Shops only see their assigned modems and available (free) modems.
Scoped permissions: Shops can only perform modem- and port-related actions on modems they are authorized to use.
On-demand usage: Shops should create ports only when an order is received and release the modem when the order expires.
Usage tracking: The system tracks how long each modem is used by each shop, enabling better resource management and billing.
How does the Multishop system work?
- Create set of shops, send each shops its access details
- They create proxy ports (either by API or in the WebApp)
- Watch how much modems*hours they consumed weekly / daily / monthly / lifetime
